Jazz in the mountains _ it’s a heady brew and it has no better flavour than at Thredbo
Village in the Kosciuszko National Park in NSW. It is doubtful whether there is a higher jazz venue in the country. The alpine resort prides itself on its jazz festival which is held in the first weekend in May each year.
The festival came of age in 2008 celebrating its 21st year with arguably its best ever line-up of artists. With sounds that swing as a platform to launch three days of jazz by combos, big bands, vocalists - and swing dances, Thredbo’s aim is to be the best boutique festival in the country. The emphasis is on quality.
